Titled "Alchemy" - should be the first link. My sister said this song reminded her of Acoustic Alchemy. My singer referenced Iron Maiden. Either way, this is definitely the most rocking track I've written so far, and I'm pretty proud of it!

Thanks for listening! Oh, and please let me know if you think the style switch in the bridge works or not.

Nice one Adam. I can Imagine Greg and Miles playing that. The bridge change was unexpected, but I think it works ok. :dude:

Thanks John! I was going for unexpected, but hopefully not disembodied. That bit was actually inspired by the soundtrack from a Sonic the Hedgehog video game. :o

Thanks guys. My singer doesn't like it! It's too "upbeat" for him! That's the problem with working with other people - you have to work with other people.

Damn nice, Adam. Just out of curiosity, did you put the drum track together yourself, or did you get it from somewhere else?

:D Thanks!

To answer Ginger and Zach's questions: all guitars were recorded direct to PC through my Digitech Genesis3 with my McRosie. The bass was played on a old beat up J-bass I have lying around here (played with a pick, I must admit).

The drums were done in FLStudio from scratch, using sampled drum hits from ns_kit_7 (thank you Natural Studios). That kit is also great when used with Roland V-drums, as we discovered while recording our EP. There's got to be something like 100 different snare samples alone..

I tracked everything into Adobe Audition. Oh, and I think I used a BBE plugin on a few guitar tracks as well.
