Just wondered how to go about it really. I've got a Roland 880ex and can transfer to CD via SCSI. (Or can you transfer to PC HD?) Whats the best for an MP3 novice like me?

I use www.songramp.com (http://www.songramp.com) to post my songs.
I use Cakewalk Guitar Tracks Pro to record, load them onto Sound Forge turn them into MP3's then download them to songramp, and Voile. All done.

I'm a novice and just started using Guitar Port and Cakewalk Guitar Tracks. Then convert to mp3 and host on my own web site at the moment

Thanks for the replies. What I was thinking that for the time being, i could record to CD and then convert to MP3. I've joined soundramp and soundclick looks pretty easy to navagate.
I've got CDex 1.51 which should be able to convert to Mp3. On soundclicks FAQ, it recommends using Music match and select mp3 128k (presumably compression rate) and 44.1k .. std sample rate for cd. I tried to convert a song for a mate once and sent it as a zipped wav file I think. For 1 a one minute song though, it took up over 8 meg. Can't seem to see what compression rate to transfer it to ..what quality do you use? Is music match an easy alternative to my CDex?
I'm thinking carrying on for the moment on the 880 and recording to CD.
