Reliable place to buy tubes?

I'm looking for another place to buy tubes. Anyone know of a good source with good selection and reasonable prices to buy matched tube sets?

By 'good selection', do you mean many different types by different manufacturers?

I, and many others, have had great results dealing with Bob at eurotubes.com. He only carries JJ/Tesla tubes, but has a nice variety of the most common guitar amp tube types, and JJ's sound wonderful.
Bob looks kind of kooky on his website's home page, but don't let that put you off. He knows his tubes and loves to talk tubes and amps. Give him a call, tell him what you're looking for and he'll hook you up at a reasonable price. He's on top of his customer service as well, should you have any problems.

At the moment I need 4 matched Svetlana EL34's and a bunch of Chinese 12AX7's for my Shiva. Looking for someplace I can trust to do good matches. Thanks!

I made my last tube purchase from KCA NOS Tubes, and I had the order at my door within 3 days. The prices are good, too.

Good call, I forgot to mention them as well.

I know everyone digs Bob at Eurotubes...but not everyone likes the JJ preamp stuff. Some feel they are a little too dark sounding.

I went with Doug because he carried both the Svetlanas and the Chinese tubes I needed for my Shiva. Very cool guy to talk with -- really helpful and knowledgeable -- and the tubes arrived via USPS in 2 days. Thanks a lot for the good recommendations everyone! :dude:

lord valve is a great guy to get tubes from. i can't remember his website right now but i kow he uses ( or at least use to) the google group. for guitar amps. doug roccaforte of roccaforte amps highlly recomends hm and buys his tube from him. doug built some of the testing/burn-in equipment hat lord valve uses.

he has a wide variety of tubes including some NOS if that is your thing. i have never bought anything from him personally but in being around the boards online i have heard a lot of good things about him and not a single negative from anyone. i'm sure if you do a search on lord valve u will find something.
