I was wondering if any one on here has used a 1x15 cab (with or without other cabs) in their guitar rig, im looking at trying to get maximum low end in a hard rock setting, and was wondering if any one has a had any experiences with them
thanks!

A long time ago I used a 1x15 and 2x12 in conjunction with a Roland multi-effects/preamp and a Marshall power amp. The 2x12 sounded fine by itself, the 1x15 was a little bottom-heavy for solo use.
A couple years ago I checked out a Peavey Delta Blues (I think) that was a 1x15 EL84 combo. It rocked, lots of punch and clarity without being overly bassy - I think having the amp designed to push that speaker probably helps out quite a bit.

im not too sure how im gonna use a 1x15, my buddy had a fender 1x15 cab and it sounded way better when he ran his twin through that than the stock 2x12 cabinet. i may end up just usinga 1x15, i see fender now has a 1x15 twin these days too..

I've had a Jenkins 1x15 for a few years and it's a great sounding, very full cabinet.
I play classic rock and blues so your mileage may vary, but it's great.
On that note, I'm cleaning house and I've just gotten my first of two Bob Burt (http://www.bobburtcabinets.com/)old pine 2x12's so this Jenkins is for sale.

(sorry for the in-message spam, but I couldn't resist)
I've used 1x15" cabs for years and love them. I don't go for a heavily overdriven sound, but the right speaker can sound great for overdrive as well...
