Last week I received my Santana Brazilian. It is an awesome sounding guitar. I replaced the pickups for Santana zebras, the volume-tone knobs to black. I also put ebony buttons on the tuners and a OM truss rod cover. This is the result

Whoever said Black Cherry was hard to photograph??? This one looks perfect.

did you not like the pickups?........what's the story on the knobs?........I really like what you did...do you have a before and after picture,tone report?

For some reason all Santana Brazilians came with amber knobs includin whale blue, grey black and black cherry that come traditionally with black knobs. I guess I am used to that look.

About the pickups, I have tried the Santana III's and didn't like the bridge pickup. I mean, it sounds good but not to the point where I am completely satisfied. I also have a Santana II and prefer that tone.

Congrats, that is a nice one!
For some reason all Santana Brazilians came with amber knobs includin whale blue, grey black and black cherry that come traditionally with black knobs.After I saw Ric's (Badfinger's) whale blue Santana Braz with the amber knobs, I changed the knobs on my whale blue SIII to amber. Personally, I love that look.
