Finally with all this talk of Ed Roman retopping other people's guitars, I got a chance to return the favor. Someone sent be an Ed Roman neck for me to inlay the head stock. Fair is Fair Eddy :p

By the way, for all you PRS can do no wrong guys, this in NOT a DRAGON. It a "ROC", which is a greek mythology creature that is part snake, part eagle. It was famed to be the biggest creature to ever fly. It's wings were so big that is blodded out the sun, thereby explain eclipes.

Great inlay work !!!
I used to think that Ed only slagged PRS off 'til I was following a Tom Anderson link last night and he was really ripping into those guitars too.

What a wanker

I used to think that Ed only slagged PRS off 'til I was following a Tom Anderson link last night and he was really ripping into those guitars too.Hmmm . . . Interesting. I was never quite sure of what to make of Tom Anderson (the person). I did an interview with him for Harmony-Central about three/four years ago. He was as nice as nice could be. Seemed like a great guy. Then, when one of his guitars failed to make it into the Golden Axe Awards (mainly because his instruments fell between the cracks of the different award categories - not fancy enough for the unlimited and too expensive for best value) he changed and changed fast. The next year the guy would barely even talk to me. Wasn't sure what to make of that, but it seemed like he was a great guy if he thought you could do something for him (like buy a guitar, write an article). As soon as he had no use for you, wham, a different guy. Of course I could be wrong about this. That's why it is interesting to read your comments above. I'm still not sure what to make of it all and I'm not sure I really care.

Bob Taylor on the other hand, there is a great guy all the time. He never trashes anyone's stuff. Of course you don't need to be a great guy to make a great guitar. Just talent and ethics, which I believe Tom has.

Very cool. But I would have preferred an inlay of a leprechaun instead of a Roc :D

I did a rough sketch for a guy that was a leprechaun smoking a pipe, sitting on a big mushroom. The guy never went for it, so it never got created. Let me see if I can fine it. Hmmm . . . Ah here it is:

This is usually how the whole process starts, with a rough sketch just to get the idea.

Make it a bald leprechaun smoking a crack pipe and eating the mushrooms, and you got the Ed inlayTM!

I thought Big Ginger Git meant that ER was ripping Anderson guitars - not that Anderson was ripping PRS...

You're right, that's exactly what I meant :DMan, I'm really slow today! I thought Tom was ripping on PRS. I see, Ed was ripping on Tom. Well, my story still holds, but Tom makes a nice guitar. Certainly better than the stuff coming out of Ed's place.

I got a chance to play a number of Andersons, and I have to say that I haven't played a bad one yet.
