Hangin!

This project started at Christmastime when a good friend gave me 5 guitar hangers. Since then, I managed to find an unbelievable piece of Birdseye Maple at - incredibly - Home Depot! :eek:

We cut the piece in half (it was 9ft. long!), and routed a bevel around each piece. I then stained them with a nice Ipswitch Pine stain and sealed them. I didn't clear them because I wanted a satin look - besides, they already looked killer!

Well, today was the day to complete the job. I gotta say, I'm totally diggin' them!!! :dude:

Love the holoflake. Had it in my greasy little hands for a few minutes when I lived in Lexington... next thing I knew - it was gone.

Yeah, there is indeed room for one more. I'm snagging another one soon to make room for the Tele. Hey Mike! The Haloflake is still my favorite of the bunch - I get the feeling it always will be. Interestingly, my wife does not share my enthusiasm for this project....oh well - there are worse things. :p

In fact, a couple of the hangers will be empty for a short time, while Jack Gretz refrets my Custom and does a little bodywork to the Haloflake. It...um...met with a small accident a couple of years ago....:o
