Now SoapSE

The new SoapSE (dubbed the SE Soapbar II) is now up on the PRS website.

Looks exactaly the same, except new colors, and double cutaway.

I have to say I prefer it and was not a fan of the single cut anyway.

PRS need to stick with their established shapes and even get a couple of new SE guitars and stop trying to copy gibson.

They need to get a picture of the antique white up pronto. But in the meantime, I quite like the black - it looks so much better than the black SSE with pickguard.

WOW I will buy that. I was on the fence about the other SE Soap, this one I love the look of ! I wonder if the Vintage cherry has the Creame PU Covers???? That would be awesome ! That Tobacco one looks great !!! VC with Cream and Amber knobs WOW that is what I want.....

Tobacco burst is classy. It looks very woody, and with the p-90's it's got to have some serious mojo happening.


I WOULD like to see PRS diversify their body styles a bit more, though, like McNaught or.. Gibson. Right now they have that shape, and the Santana shape..

I would actually really like to see the PRS take on a Jazzmaster. :)

I recall in the original thread how a number of people expressed interest in the antique white Soapbar II, but PRS decided to tease us by only revealing the black and tobacco sunburst. In my impatience, I decided to PS it for this forum - complete with Brazilian background and BaM address to limit stealing. ;)

ya a santana se in the "santana" body shape would put a dent in my wallet.......is the soapbar2 the same price as the sc?

When are these scheduled to come out? I would love a McSoapy (well at a certain price point). I wonder if the antique white would be an opaque or translucent finish. In all honesty, I never really cared for the SC version and would have much preferred a doublecut version. Besides, I have a set of Fralin P90's just aching to be installed:D
I'd imagine it would the same opaque antique white as on the SE EG, so that's what I used for my Photoshop up there.

Ya know, I would say that I also prefer the SC version of the SoapSE... BUT, after seeing the Paintshopped one in white... wow! I LOVE the looks of that one! Thanks Pete, for causing me to waver! :)

You're welcome! Of course, one can never have too many guitars, so the solution is simply to have both varations. ;)

I'm another one of the minority who prefers the sc soapbar. It has a Tele vibe that I dig. I'm glad there is another option available for the rest, however.

These are the best value out there IMO. Also turned me on to P90's after all these years.
