Vangit...thanks for re-starting the thread. There was a long one that was started here yesterday but it got nuked for some reason?

Oh...about the singlecut trem SE: Not gonna happen until the mess with Gibson is cleared up, lawsuit that is.

Hmm...

Since this guitar is obviously not marketed to my demographic, I'll reserve comment about the guitar itself. It does look kind of cool.

I am disappointed that PRS is busy following everybody else (Gibson, ESP, Schecter, etc.) rather than trying to be original.

Why can't they build a nice low-cost guitar like that without tuning it into some gimick thing? Can't they make something like this without it being a signature model of some sort? Do you have to slap the flavor of the week's name on something to sell guitars?

Have to give them some credit for the SE EG and the SE Soap's. Very original, great quality low price, and no names attached....well except santana on the originals but he is sure not the flavour of the week....

Guess I'm old - as soon as I see 'Billy Martin' SE, I'm wondering why the former nemesis of George Steinbrenner has a signature PRS!

Santana is a great name for sure, but did they have to make his guitar (the SE that is) look so damn cheap?

Naw... it just sounds weird to call a player like that a lead guitarist. I'm not into that bubble gum punk scene, but my 12 year old son loves them. I still think it's cool he gets his SE signature.
