We started a 2-Thanksgiving tradition when my wife and I started dating: our families live about an hour apart in mid-Michigan, so we spend half the day with mine and half with hers. That fell by the wayside for the last couple years we've been living in Oregon, but since we moved back it was time to revive the 2-bird custom. So we ate with my family at 2:30pm, limiting ourselves to one plateful, recovered for a bit with coffee, made the hour-long drive and ate with my wife's family at 6:30pm.
