Morning, Dirtbag, got any tips on turning this little fella into a 130lb bird dog? Nice to see ya, when are you coming to help me with this place?

Cute. But boy, I see a LOT of work ahead of you - the dog will take some work, and (as you know) raising kids is a 25/7 job. :p

Start the dog retrieving right now. Don't let him mouth the bird. She'll spoil him rotten, so you'll have to be the "bad cop." ;)

Thanks for the smile - why are they cutest when they're little?

Well, I've always wanted a yellow lab.

My house got broken into about 10 minutes after I moved my last load into it. Freakin' guitars all over the place. This and that, stacked here and there. POW. Kick the door in, got lucky and grabbed a couple of jars of TOONIES (a Canadian $2 coin). Made out with about 4k worth of em'. Never made out with any axes, though, and they were right there.:dude:

So, I got a dog that will take care of us. He'll be about 130lbs. I have an alarm system that I'll use as a back up.:D

Perhaps a sign for your front yard?

I'm not sure how good the sign would work when the house is empty. I'll train the dog to go right for the nuts, though.:D

Do you have all the tools? I seriously have talked about comin up there for a couple days. Whats left to do? I'm a finish carpenter, not much on framing.

I think I'll help set the table, wash the dishes, take out the garbage, clean my room, and make my bed. Then do I get a raise of allowance? I'll even feed and walk Bowser, Dad, please...??? ;)

Finishing stuff!!!!!!!

I won't buy crappy kitchen cabinets, and I don't have the dough to buy the ones I like, so I'm gonna build em'. I'm thinking maple would be nice. And these goddamned stairs. They're gonna be a beauty......when I figure em' out. And cabinets in the bedrooms, and this, and that, and planing sh!t til' the cows come home. And drawers that lock. And......come on up, there is all kinds of sh!t and abuse for ya, here.

Supposed to be in Edmonton tonight, but I f*cked up.

One of my best rugby buddies is having his 75th b'day at the Clansmen RFC. Just too late for a decent air fare.

Bugger...:(

Cute daughter and pup there Dino! Nothing makes a kid happier than
a puppy (well, as long as they're not allergic!). I love labs... we have
a black lab mix right now, she just turned 13 this summer and is really
slowing down. I've always loved chocolates, so I may make the pitch
for one of those for my next one. Of course, now that we've got the
kids, they'll get to decide!

But our dog Raven has been the best dog for kids. She's been through
all of five of 'em as babies, toddlers, etc. Our youngest is 1 1/2 right
now, so she's still in "fascination" mode with Raven. Raven lets her
climb on her, pull her hair, etc., and doesn't ever snap or growl or
anything. Never has with any of the kids. That's exactly what you
want while the kids are young. Of course, the older kids wish she were
more energetic, chasing sticks and balls, etc., but, you get what you get!

That's definitely going to be "her dog" as they grow up together!

Congrats, Dino! Great photo where the pup's tail is wagging faster than the camera shutter.

I grew up with a couple yellow labs in the family. Very family-centric, but that low bark would make any intruder think twice.

When it was time to bring dogs into my own family, we went with Chow Chows to guard the castle. Some insurance companies don't like 'em, but they keep my git-fiddles safe! :)

Enjoy your good-looking pup and take lots of photos and videos while he's small. He won't stay that way for long!

Troublemaker. :D;)

Dino's been banging away at building his house for a while now. And although I wouldn't want to have to do what Dino is doing, I admire him for his perseverance and endurance.

Dino, your reward after all this is being able to look upon all your good work and say that you did it. THAT, my friend, is worth something.

Hello Dino,

Well thanks a lot mate. My daughter who is 10 y.o. has been banging on for years about getting a puppy and we always say that we can't because we are not at home all day and it would not be fair to the dog. They she looks over my shoulder and see's this lovely photo of you Little'un with that cute Lab pup and she is now all over me again!

Thanks for sharing a lovely photo.

Spike.

The puppy pees a lot. Really does, yep.

She named him "Chuck", after Chuck E. Cheese.
