i had a phone on ebay won by a '0' feedback person. i had noticed this person was bidding on all the same types of phones. i sent 3 emails in the space of 3 days - no reply. got the telephone number of the person... phoned them up to hear (in a foreign voice) "erm em can i call you back...". 5 mins later she called me back and said she didn't want it anymore...she'd bought it for a friend who bought another.

i still managed to sell the phone to the second bidder... but i felt i needed to leave negative feedback so as nobody else got their time wasted.

i've now got a dent in my 100% positive feedback... as she's hit back with revenge feeback
THIS GUY IS A TOTAL TIME WASTER. DOESN'T RESPOND TO EMAILS.

pisses me off. just means next time i have something of value... 'no 0 feeback bidders'. i like to give people a chance to start off. not no more. :(

That sucks Al.... I've often considering that happening and, although not a massive deal in the great scheme of things, it sure must be annoying as hell!!! Man, you try and do someone a good turn....

i know how your feeling Al. I had a guy bid a rediculous amount for a DVD from me; I sent it - he didn't request insured mail. He obviously woke up and smelt the coffee and shot from the hip with negative feedback. AFTER making sure I had already left -Ve feedback. He claimed he didn't get the DVD. All you can do is respond to comments ... put something like the brief outlines and then put 'Email me if you are concerned for the whole story'. You only get so many characters though. I have a 59 with 1 -ve. You could put - there's always one .. ask and I'll tell you the story.

If you wait till 5 months, 30 days, 11 hours and 59 minutes .... you can leave negative feedback without fear of retribution!!! (Revenge Will be sweet for me!)

As you can image, I ship out a lot of stuff. I almost never use eBay, but I alway ship delivery confirmed. That way I never get someone saying they didn't get it. This is a US post service and it doesn't cost much extra. US Postal is quickly becoming my shipping method of choice. There are more location to drop stuff off, the ship time is quick and I have had no damage problem. If you haven't used them lately, you might want to take another look.

Just send her some fish or prawns in a bag, make sure you leave them out in the central heating for a few days though.

I had a similar thing from aguy who didn't respond at all as I had won his item for a really low price. He left me bad feedback and then had the gall to get shirty with me.

I then bombarded him with all the e-mails that I had sent requesting his payment terms.

Yup, that sucks. I've had it happen to me to, my only neg, but I'm not going to let that stop me from leaving neg feedback to people who deserve it in the future.

Just put comments after stating that it is RETALIATORY FEEDBACK from a non paying bidder. Anyone who looks at your feedback can look at the dates and times that feedback was left and figure out what really happened. But I feel it's important for you to state that it is retaliatory feedback tho'.

I also now, whenever I sell something, I will not leave feedback until the buyer either leaves FB or reports that they are happy with the item. As a buyer, I only ever leave feedback if I see that the seller regularly leaves feedback too.

Major bummer.

I have been paranoid of this myself... I don't have the balls to leave neg feedback because of it. I simply don't leave feedback.

But I should gets the guts to do it, just to warn others.

Oddly enough, I am having a hard time with one company now which I bought some acid loops from off ebay. The first set of 15 disks, only 1 worked... the rest, none of my CDROMs in the house would read. The guys said he's send me new ones... that was back in mid January. I wrote him again about the 19th of Feb, and he said he has sent them and they would be here. Here it is March 3rd, and no replacement CDs. But, this guy does have a lot of good feedback.. 600 positive feedbacks @ 100%!

So I am not sure what to do at this point, even if eventually I do get the replacement CDs.

As a side note, I offered to send him back the bad ones to verify that they were bad, and he refused saying he would just send me new ones.

Peace,
Aldwyn
