Hey gang - I had a productive weekend and finished two tunes for my band. In my own domineering way, I even recorded bass tracks this time (on an old mexican J-bass, no less). They're not even close to mastered, but the mix isn't aweful so..

http://www.soundclick.com/bands/7/adamgotchmusic.htm

The first tune (untitiled song demo 1) was written first and recorded entirely on my McRosie.

The second tune (demo 2) was written and recorded on my SG Speshyul (w/EMGs) and is a bit faster and more aggressive.

I ask for feedback because I think in terms of a different or original sound, I may be on to something here, but in my little musical vacuum it's impossible to tell. I guess, just let me know if you dig it and if so, why. Conversely, if it's sounding bad to you, please tell me why. :)

Thanks fer listening!

I'm lovin both of them Adam.

The first one has some great transitions in it.

But the second is my fave. 'cos thats just the way I am.

Keep it up.

Thanks, Rip! I think I like the 2nd one better too - not nearly as polished, but a bit more fun to play. :)

Wow, both have a serious tone but manage to remain very musical. Awesome.

Thank you, John! I'm actually really happy with where I am as a player/writer right now. I feel like my ear has developed to the point where I can play with the intensity that satisfies me, but still keep things accessible enough for folks who might not usually like that level of heaviness.

I'm trying like hell to put a band together with this sound, but finding the right drummer is so stinking hard!!!
