I'm starting to dig the way Wolfgang Standards look. Any owners have any opinions of Wolfies?

Do you mean the flattop solid color ones? I like them alot. I'm actually trading my black carved top wolfie for a gold flat top ( plus I get some cash) as I don't like the binding on that one digging into my arm.
Cool guitars. A lot of fun, and a great rock tone.

I believe the flat tops ones are the "Specials". The specials do not have the birds eye neck. I have a PRS and don't find the edge binding digging, why do you think the Wolfie edge binding digs?
I have an American made special with a pretty sweet amber flame. The guitar is constructed extremely well, but one thing of note is the neck. Because they are solid maple and not sprayed with laquer, humidity can play havoc with the frets. (This becomes more of an issue with extreme changes, not normal changes.) Other than that, the guitar is really amazing. Even though it may look sort of strange, it is very balanced and effortless to play. The neck is almost the opposite of a PRS...sort of a "narrow fat" The surface of the neck is VERY flat...I think it is like a 15" radius or something like that. (Which works great for tapping...go figure.) The width of the neck can take some getting used to as it feels pretty narrow, but the overall feel is really fat. (Think baseball bat.) The pickups are HOT, HOT, HOT!!! They are also directly mounted to the body which gives them a unique sound, too. You won't ever really get good cleans out of this guitar, the best you'll ever do is slightly over driven. Rolling back the volume knob a bit will help to take some of the distortion away. Eddy himself prefers the specials without the tone knobs, and you'd be very surprised at how different you can still make the guitar sound by using the pickup selector. ;)
If you get the trem, remember that it doesn't float...you can only do dive-bombs with it, but the D-Tuna is really cool. Overall, if you're after good, hard driving, rock type tones...this guitar really fits the bill.

Well I don't have the issue with my PRS either. I think it is because the binding on the PRS is a Faux binding, where as the Wolfie is an inlayed plastic binding ALA LEs Paul. I also have the issue on my LP Custom and Warmoth Tele.
The reason I'm doing the swap, Yeah the neck is not as pretty, but I still get to have one, and I get some cash out of the deal. I don't dig Black guitars, and I love goldtops, so it worked out for me all around. Binding was a minor issue. Played them side by side, and they sounded identical.
So they are great guitars for sure. When I'm done, I'll still have one, plus cash for new toys, and I will only have 300 bucks into the standard.

I had a wolfgang standard for a few years, and I personally think that Erik nailed it perfectly. The guitar won't go clean, but is fun to play. The neck is a little too narrow for me if doing complicated chords cleanly, but Eddie doesn't seem to have any trouble. Very solid instrument. The d-tuna works great, but to be accurate it needs to be adjusted occasionally. I love the natural neck and birdseye.

I had a US Wolfgang Special in black - it was a great guitar, I just love the necks on them. I sold it to fund other purchases but I can see myself getting another one at some point!
