Unfortunately, we couldn't get a table for dinner for almost an hour and it was after 10 when we finished. Add the 1 hour+ drive in that monsoon (the parking lot at the restaurant was flooding from the South River overflowing!) and we'd already missed most of your show...

And another. After a "quick" dinner with our nephew (a pleeb at the Academy) and a 15 minute walk back to the car in the rain we were soaked and it was nearly 11. I was very disappointed we didn't drive down anyway but ya' gotta pick your battles. (and we had to get up at 4 to make our flight).

I drove up as fast as I could and was still WAY late and caught Jamie, Mike, Ron Ed, and Dayne at the restaurant when they were midway through their meal. 5hours in the rain in DC traffic REALLY blows...LOL. Ron, Dayne, Ed and I basically surrendered to Ed's house and played darts so I would guess we REALLY missed out on some festivity's

It was REALLY good to catch all the guys at the Thorn Gathering today though. I did have to bug out a few hours early to try and get on the road for the long trek back to Raleigh, but it was a spectacular time!!
