Folks,

Go easy on me, I'm trying to test out recording on the PC. I think I may have screwed up the levels. Can someone confirm if they hear the signal hitting the red. On the track, the rhythmn is my CU22Trem, Drums are on the Keyboard and the one take solo stuff is with a very new acquisition that shall remain nameless.

Yeah, I can hear you clipping a tad in some solid-state stage somewhere. I did this myself on my most recent sound clip - very annoying!

Good first clip! It does clip a tad though...primarliy around your lower end/and kicks.

Sounds ok to my ears. C'mon, what is the new acquisition? Strat or Les Paul?

Oh, I believe I know what it is:D . By the way John, have you got a chance to play your "other" new acquisition?:)

Guys thanks for all the comments. I really appreciate the kind words and the help. I think I know what I did wrong to cause the clipping.

OK, I'll fess up soon...but just not yet. It's definitely not a strat or a Les Paul. But the guitar is fabulous and has enough thick bass response to have caused some of the clipping.

Don, I haven't had time to play the SCUT much at all. It's been a hell of a week off....at least I knocked some major home projects out of the way. Maybe I'll play some today (by the way that Singlecut is beautiful). I've never seen that shade of whale blue it does look like the ocean. Oh yes, one last question...did you have 10's or 11's on there...I think the strings feel thicker than your standard 009's.

10's, John. I had always wanted to try 11's on her, but never got around to putting them on.

Aha! The secret's out!

You gotta put together a track with just the new beauty, dry, no effects, so we can hear the full tonal madness!!!

OK, give me a couple of nights to work something out. The clean tones are excellent...I only hope my playing can do the guitar justice. I'll play as dry as I can and maybe even try to work some wetter stuff in somewhere to give you some contrast.
