Hey kids,

I decided to try out Apple's GarageBand tonight, and within 10 minutes I had this little piece done.

Click here for tune. (http://idisk.mac.com/mightypudge/Public/GBDemo.mp3)

It's only 1 minute 30 seconds long. All of the guitars were recorded using GarageBand's amp models. The drums and bass are loops from Apple's GarageBand expansion pack. In other words, this is as simple as it gets.

Still, I think it shows off how cool my new Duncan pickups sound. And the amp models in GarageBand are pretty good. The software is painfully easy to use, however it is not ultra flexible. Still, there is a lot of cool stuff in that program.

Whoa, very Satriani, man. Reminds me of part of Raspberry Jam Delta-V.

Pups sound great!

Pups sound great! Thanks! I might keep playing around with this song and see if I can't make a more "complete" version. I'd also like to redo those messy guitar parts.

I wish you would - I put it in my iTunes heavy rotation playlist, and now every time it comes on and ends I'm like 'hey - he quit right when he was starting to rock!' :D

I used the "Scorching Solo" model in GarageBand and bumped the Echo slider up 1/3 of the way. That was it.

You also have to pick a better name for the song- my friend came over and he was like 'Hey, is that the new Satriani? What the heck, I thought he used DiMarzios" :D
