This summer I purchased 6 new Mesa 6L6 tubes and it has been 6 months and the tubes are bad already. Are they supposed to crap out this quickly? Also, how long does it take for Sovtek 5U4G tubes to go bad? How long for 12AX7's?

It got so bad, I kept 2 spares with me at all times while playing out.

Regarding the Rectifiers, are you using them or the Solid State Diode Rectifier?

I have it on the tubes.

I guess that makes me a bit unusual. I don't push mine above bedroom levels very often, but I've had the same set of EH EL-34's and Yellow Jackets in my Dual for almost two years now.

12AX7's should last quite a while.
