I was just surfing on TGP and reading posts by both Brendan(Snail) and Larry(PaintGuy)bon TGP and feeling happy that they still own my former McRosie and DGT, respectively... It got me thinking that I am SOOO happy that most of my formers are still with who I sold them to, AND the new owners are happy with them.

Examples of good vibes payed forward:

Brendan(Snail)'s McRosie:

Thanks Kevin, I played the 245 on Saint Patty's day week and loved it. Thanks Bro. Please let me know if that Singlecut Hollowbody ever needs a new home. David

Sadness is....realizing you should've pulled the trigger on one of Kevin's sweet-ass guitars when you had the chance.

Thanks, Kevin. That Goldtop SC245 is a real rocker...I don't think I'll ever let it go. It just has that classic grind tone....

Yep, thanks Kev.

As I look at my 12-13 stash of guitars and try to decide which ones' I'm going to sell, the DGT is not even a consideration. I was actually thinking of you as I consider which guitars I'm going to sell and that I at least owe it to you to offer you first right of refusal on them.

Heck, I'm thinking of selling my Jimmy Page Les Paul and my very early SC245 (maybe one of the first ever made) to say the least.

Again, the DGT is not going anywhere (at least at this point:))

I actually have a ton of interest in it if I sell. Many guys on some other forums have expressed interest in purchasing when I mentioned I might sell it.

Still, I don't really know them and I don't feel like I owe them first dibs.;)

I played it tonight and I love it. As a Jimmy Page freak, it was my dream guitar. I'm just having a hard time with the very skinny, eliptical neck carve as of late.

I used to love the neck but now it sort of hurts my palm and wrist. I'm trying to adjust my technique and it seems to be helping. I'm also going to see a doctor (Monday) since I'm developing carpel tunnel(sp) on my left hand and all my guitars hurt my hand after playing for a bit.

We'll see.

Hmmmm... I have to say Larry got a sweet one on this deal. If there is one I miss the most, it probably would be the black beauty DGT. :o

I know two of mine are... a few of the others I wish I could find to buy them back. I know Scott will never sell my Cu22 Soapbar back to me so I just relish that he loves it :dude: Someone find my McStd IRW Soapbar.. that sucker went to Peter and then a few other hands... can't track it down.

I miss that one sometimes. When I have weak crackwood moments. But relapse is not in my future... ;)

Hey Paintguy,

Be very careful with that RSI and make sure you see a good arm/wrist/hand specialist. When this started happening to me, I went right away, he put me into physical therapy and I got a ton of stretching exercises to do before and after I play. I have very few problems now as long as I stick to my 20 minute stretching routine before and after playing - which sucks because I can no longer just pick up a guitar and play it without that routine.

Still quite happy with your former favorite SC245, Kevin :)
Love the sound and the weight. I will probably sell my SCT (not in a rush though, with current market) because of the SC245. My SCT is killing my back if I play for a couple of hours..

I must confess my SC245 is not my number one ATM, that's my new (old) '89 CU with wide thin neck (@phretbored: love the sound (sweet switch FTW!), the looks, the neck and play it a lot, thanks!). And I got a CU24 Bodega Bay coming in, so it seems I'm back to my first PRS love (having 3 CU24's soon and playing 'm a lot).
