Well I unleashed the new SC-30 for the first time this afternoon. I've had her a couple of weeks, but today I hauled her to church in preparation for tomorrows worship. Got to crank her a little more than I have here at the apartment and of course it's a different world in the whole band setting.
The Matchless had me at tone nirvana from the first chord. It was fabulous. The dynamics of these amps is unparalleled in my experience. I never stepped on a distortion box, just used the guitar setting and pick attack. Switched to the bridge HFS on the CuRo, upped the volume just a smidge and I was grinding hard. Set to '8' on the five way rotary with the volume down a bit and I got the 'beautiful' tone, clean yet complex; 3Dish some might say. Switched to '7' single coil setting for a song I jangle through. I was tickled to death the whole time.
Just wanted to share the love. Been a few years since I sold my last SC-30 and I had no idea how bad I missed her. This one's going to be around till I'm too old to lift a 70lb box of tone.
