Fair enough, I could probably learn a few things reading this book, maybe become a better musician in the long run. But, for the love of Pete, would anybody ever actually buy this book if it wasn't assigned reading?

Hey, I'm amused :) BTW, I've heard maestro Franz uses a 1640 Verdicci metronome that gives him unbelieveable tone :D

Anybody try any of the new digital metronomes? I was just wondering if there was a big difference between digital and analog?

Well, the digitals are dead on accurate, but they just don't have the soul and warmth I'm looking for. Face it if you can't 'feel' the beat, you might as well be playing with a...um... wait a minute!

Uhm yeah!

I've got a cheapie QuikTime metronome ($10) and the sound is really grating with high pitched "Peeps"... it's much more fun with a drum machine instead.

My wife Jane has a mechanical clockwork metronome and I can't play in time with it.

I just find it too inacurate and can only play with a drum machine as a click track.

Of course it may be broken????
