Sat. Night we're playing a true Roadhouse/Dive -- it's called Cryer's Back Road in Compton, MD... deep in Southern MD.
Sunday we're playing our annual Family Day gig at Gilligan's Pier in Pope's Creek, MD (used to be Pier III)... If anyone wants to come, it's really a great time -- lots of people bring their kids -- sandy beach, palm trees - we play right on the water - -they have excellent seafood (crabs!!) and yummy rum drinks. There's even a little playground for the kids. We play from 2pm - 6pm - bring da family!
Pope's Creek is just on the MD side of the Harry Nice bridge, so if you're in VA it might be close for you too.

So other than letting the smoke out of your Boogie, was it a good show?

So other than letting the smoke out of your Boogie, was it a good show?Translation: How many sets of twins were in attendance?
And more importantly, did you get pics? ;)

LOL you guys are killin me! The smoke was pretty cool, actually. My road crew was FREAKING out... my poor tech was running in circles. I am still amazed I'm not more upset, but the truth is that amp's been really weird lately.. and I guess this just pushes me to deal with it... I almost feel relieved. No twins. but here's a shot from last night's "roadhouse" gig... I'm rapping House of Pain's "Jump Around"... :)

Oh, and while I'm at it -- last weekend at the Purple Moose in Ocean City was pretty wild - One of the highlights was at the end of Sat night, when Mary Lou from Mary Lou and the Untouchables got onstage and belted out smoky blues rendition of "Some Kind of Wonderful". She's an old friend of mine, and a helluva blues singer - if u ever get a chance, check her out!! She's under the same management as us, so we collide every once in a while... here's a pic of me, her and Casper :D

BTW, several years ago I had a similar problem with a Fender Bassman. I had a tech go over it. It turned out to be just a bad set of tubes. He replaced the tubes - they were only a couple of weeks old, so he replaced them for free - rebiased the amp and it was fine after that.
