Maple body with a mahogany top? Very interesting. Can't wait to see/hear the finished product.

Im curious myself to hear what this will sound like, the guitar is also hollowed out.

That's a really nice piece of mahogany. Bet the finished guitar is going to be awesome.

Man, that looks great, Mike. I'm also anxious to see and hear the results.

I'm starting a project guitar, too, but right now I don't have the cahones to try a carved top, and my mahogany is very plain next to that piece.
Good luck with it, should be a killer guitar.

Allan.

It took me a little time to get the courage to start doing carved tops as well. It really wasn't as bad as I thought, you just have to be carefull. This is the first one and I have two others that I am starting soon. Im getting some stuff ready so I can go shop it around and hopefully get something going. Here is a pic of the headstock with my new logo (my last name "marcovis"). I took it with my cell phone so it's not the best pic. Ill post a better pic of the headstock and the inlay on the figerboard after I do the color work on tuesday.
