View Full Version : Anyone available for a social meeting in Maryland 13/14 March?
Our trip to see the factory is rapidly approaching. The group consists of me, Kevin (psxguru), and Julian Carter. We have some time over the weekend and so far Carl Werkmeister has suggested he may be available. We don't have anything in mind but seeing a live band was suggested as a possibility, maybe a bite to eat, taking over a guitar store etc..
It would be great to meet some of you.

I can recommend a vist to Washington Music Centre and also a visit to downtown Annapolis (good for relaxing and shopping) and the Naval Accademy (just round the corner and remember to take your passport as ID).
Thanks for input Gary, I never considered Annapolis itself.

I'd love to meet with you guys. As we get closer to the date, we'll pin something down.

D*mmit, d*mmit, d*mmit! I'd really like to meet some of the other BAM folks, as I'm very local to all you describe, but unfortunately I'm tied up that weekend. Annapolis is a convenient place - don't forget to stop in at GP guitars if you're there! Keep announcing things like this in the Maryland area.
Its rare I get to spend some quality time doing indulgent music-type things with music-type folks anymore...:(

Check out the Brit giving suggestions for a continent he's not even on! :D
I actually don't have to play that weekend, but I think the S/O planned something. I would definitely love to meet up with you guys and see the pusher and the Dungeon that is Werkmeister.

Ah Yes Baba, But I have experienced ALL that is good about WMC and Annapolis, I even ordered two special embroidered cat collars from PETPAWS.com recently.
Happy memories of a very mellow Sunday afternoon driking lots of Guinness in the bars around Annapolis harbour after last years Forum event.:D

Amen brutha. That was a perfect day, nice weather, I got to meet you, hanging out with mightypudge and Tracey, walking around. Sigh.
Thanks for the names so far. I'm looking forward to working something out. In case one of us (almost certainly not me) wants to buy a guitar, Sunday would probably be the ideal day since we will have checked out of the hotel and therefore have nowhere to leave anything. Are all shops open on Sundays (outlets, malls, music shops etc)?

Certainly all the shops at Annapolis Harbour were open on the Sunday I was there but I'm not sure about WMC and Garret Park etc.

Garrett Park Guitars is open on Sunday from noon until five. WMC is closed on Sundays.
