My partner's wife is working for a couple of weeks in New York City and mentioned that Les Paul plays at the Iridium Jazz Club every Monday night with his trio.
Does anyone know if he gives autographs in that type of venue? I sent up two pickguards...one for my Artisan and one for my buddies...just wondering what the odds would be?????;)
Thanks, guys.

I'd say the chances are pretty good, but your wife might have to be a little aggressive.
The guy I share an office with is a Lester-head and he went up to the Iridium a couple of years ago. Evidently, Les does 2 shows and my friend went to the first show, at the end of which he was told [by a club employee] that Les wouldn't be signing any autographs until after the second show.
He was seated up near the stage and after the show was over he just waited a couple of minutes and went strolling right on back to the dressing room. Les was cordial and signed at least one pickguard and a photograph that my friend had taken of him at an earlier show. He also posed for at least one picture with my friend.
The photo that Les signed is featured on the Les Paul Forum.
Good luck!
I saw him a few years ago...yes, he's very gracious. Although I didn't get any pictures or autographs (I just felt kind of funny about asking), he pretty much signs anything given to him and will pose for pictures as well. The guy is such a gentleman. (Oh yea, he can play pretty well too!! :D )

Hey Erik, I had a signed pick guard. Les signed it at the HOG. I also had him sign a Fender gear mag. He told me a cool story about him and Leo Fender. Everyone in line enjoyed it.

Ron,
First, I come to your house and see a veritable shrine of museum quality PRS guitars, boutique amps, and now this? I seriously want to be you. :D What next, are you playing with Robyn Ford Sunday at Milestones?

I had him sign the underside, so it wouldn't rub off.
