Hi guys,
I was loading up some more CD's into my iPod last night and decided to stick all my Stryper albums on there, have an early night and listen to some tunes before I nodded off.
Bloody hell man !!!!!!!! I forgot what a fantastic guitar sound they had, especially the rhythm. Great bottom end, tight and crunchy with loads of balls and screaming lead with smooth sustain........ I LOVE IT !!!!!
I remember they used Boogies but which models I'm not sure.
Go on treat yourself and have a blast from the past and check 'em out :dude:

That's right man! Some of the best tone of the hair metal bands. Not your "standard" Ibanez-thru-Marshall setup. I remember at least Oz using some kind of Boogie back then, but my memory fails me now as to what, exactly, it was.
They're using Peavey now; Oz still plays his old yellow & black guitars while Michael plays PRS and an EVH sig guitar (don't recall if it was Peavey or EB tho).

Might not be your cup ot tea Phil as they're a tad religious (that can't be spelt right ????). I remember they used to chuck bibles into the crowd at gigs :D
I wish they would release that Live in Japan video on DVD :(

Wasn't their first album called "The Yellow and Black Attack" or something like that or was that just a track?
Long time ago now:(

I always thought 'Soldiers Under Command' was their first album but 'Yellow and Black Attack' really rings a bell, so you may be right. The SUC album was 1985, not sure when they hit the scene. The title track of the SUC album is awesome as is the title track from In God We Trust ..... SERIOUS RIFFAGE !!!!!!!! :dude: :dude: :dude:
