Both of those sound great Andy. Not to de-rail the thread but I thought that you couldn't upload covers at Soundclick. It's the main reason I haven't put any of my recordings up. Are covers cool, or do they just not really check what you're up loading?

They tell you that you shouldn't but I've seen so much stuff on there that is I thought what the hell. They can't pay too much attention. I can take a telling off.:D

Untill I find all my original stuff from years ago, covers that I've done lately is all I have to post.

There is a whole thread that can cover "covers v original songs" and I know a lot of people round here have very strong veiws on the matter.

I cut my teeth on other peoples songs like most players here have done, then I started writing my own songs which I have been doing ever since. But there comes a time when you just know it's time to stop going after recording contracts and get on and enjoy playing. Which is what I do.

There is some stuff of mine, that as I was reminded of only this evening that got into some chart in Germany about 10 years ago( I'll save that for another thread) and radio stations in France even further back wanting to play my songs but right now I'm happy doing covers.

Covers are cool, and you get to play all the songs you wish you'd writen.

If you have some, I know I'd love to hear them:dude:

I couldn't agree more about covers, we pretty much stick to obscure stuff, and certainly put our own spin on them. For us it's just about having fun, we have written a couple of songs that aren't too bad, but I'm quite content with doing covers.

Seeing your post and listening yesterday acutally got me motivated to get some of our songs up on the web. The bass player is an IT guy, he's allways talking about hosting some of our MP3's but it never happens. I'm going to get some of our recordings up at soundclick next week.

Do it.

What is music if you can't share it:dude:

Just great! I love it when any band has the brass to cover Rush, and you guys sounded great.

Love the brit accent too.. "And now, a little bit of Roosh" :D
