does the shiva have a 4ohm output. the 4x12 i own now is a mesa boogie road king cabinet. if anyone is unfamiliar with that, it is pretty much 2 2x12 cabs joined. the left side is 2 12 in speakers connected to output A that is 8 ohms. This is the closed back side. The open back side goes to output B and that is also 8ohms. Now output C is the whole cabinet and it is 4 ohms. If i wanted to use this cabinet with a 16 ohm output could i make a box that would have 3 jacks and run output A and B in parallel to make this cabinet 16 ohms. i am assuming that all the speakers are 16 ohms and all in series and that is the way they are getting 4 ohms. so if i take each side oh 8ohms in parallel they would equal 16ohms. also how would i wire this.

Input C is a parallel input @ 4 ohms. You'd need to use A and B in series to give you 16 ohms.

Hooking up two equalr impedances (speakers) in parallel divides the impedance in half [ ZC = ZA ZB / ( ZA + ZB ) ]; plugging them in series gives you double the impedance [ ZC = ZA + ZB ].

yes. that makes more sense. in series is definately what i want.
