I had NOO Idea how much I would love my G-5, or I would have ordered my IRW McNaught as a G-5 as well. I went Sig. That is one sweet guitar, may you play it as good as it looks!!!

As a player, I am soooooo NOT worthy of this guitar! But I am keeping it just the same.

Nice! What kind of wood is the body (back) made out of?

Three single coils! Now, here is a guy with real taste! All the rest of that guitar is a knockout! Congrats on a great one!

So, not counting the G5 Skulls and Sword prototype, we have here the first three Strat-style G5s ever built: Mine is #1, Mitch's is #2 and Mike's is #3!!:)
And all four G5s have the controls in four different configurations/placement...talk about different tastes!
My #3 is also the first DTM out the door with an Indian rosewood neck! :)
Elgreco, the body is black limba with a quilted maple cap.

Wow, looks like a great guitar. Congrats!
That guitar is beautiful all the way around! The top, the back, the materials, the neck, sheesh!
Limba + Maple + Rosewood, can you say "tone"?

That is too cool, if The Daves keep up with this type of quality, we could be looking at some REAL collectables when he sells out to a Major, or gets the recognition he truely deserves!!!
Congrats Mike! That is one sweet looking G5. I'm sure it sounds and plays as good as it looks! I've yet to play a Mcnaught that sounded bad!:)
