My wife and I just finished watching Almost Famous (we're uncool and just now catching up with it). Man, that's a great movie. I watched the bonus 'making of' and got to see and hear a bit of Peter Frampton. That was cool. I don't want to give any spoilers in case anyone reading this hasn't seen it yet. My advice, rent it, and prepare to enjoy the emotional ride.

We give it five cools on the one to five cool scale (five being the highest).

<insert 5 cool smilies in a row here>

You have to imagine how cool five cool smilies look in a row because I abused the image limit (sorry about that Phil!).

I love that film, the scene on the bus always brings a tear to my eye.

I'n fact it's in my top 3 all time favourite Rock films just after Spinal Tap and School of Rock!!

IMHO, it's the best film about Rock and Roll - bar none.

I've got 300+ DVD's and the Directors Cut of Almost Famous is the only one I've ever paid full price for.

(Don't have me down as a cheapskate - I'm saving for a PS!)

I thought it was a great movie! Nancy Wilson of Heart wrote some of the music for it. She is also married to the director Cameron Crowe. (Lucky Dog!)

I just got it yesterday, after reading this thread, great addition to my growing catalog of DVD's.

The dvd's cool with a lot of cool extras, including a lot of info from when Cameron Crowe "lived" it. The band's based on Zepellin.

Man, thanks for reminding me to go watch the DVD! My wife and I enjoyed the movie immensely at the theater when it came out. Just have to remember where I put that box ...

Best rock movie ever imo.
