I was wondering if any of you have any experience with Carvin parts. I just ordered a bolt on neck and an alder body blank. I want to know what level of quality I should get and what to expect.

yep, very high quality. the necks are very thin and flat, though, but that can be a feature to some. Good choice!

Thanks for the replies. I'm building this guitar based off of the PRS singlecut. Hopefully I don't screw it up because this is my first build. I'm putting a Les Paul wiring kit(2volume, 2tone), Dimarzio tone zone/air norton PUPs, and a stoptail bridge(can't risk messing up a tremolo).

I don't have any experience with Carvin, personally, but my old bass player friend, Paul, absolutely swears by them. :dude:
Since Paul is the man, Carvin must be cool.

I used to work for Carvin, in the guitar shop. They use the best quality materials, and their workmanship is top notch. Personally, I think the guitars are rather bland, and I don't care for their pickups, but the basic guitars are excellent.
I believe the bolt on neck are fret leveled, and dressed, ready to be bolted on and played.
