I haven't done this for a while but I'm going to put a pedal board together. I have a Maxon OD-820 Super Overdrive, a Boss CE-1 Chorus Ensemble, a Budda wah, and a Maxon Analog Delay for openers. I do want a board that will accomodate at least one vol/wah-sized pedal.

I have seen the Furman but am interested in what else might be available... especially from some of the smaller builders.

Thanks....

Tim

I just built one from a suitcase (samsonite) which is also a dumpster score, and a piece of plywood. It's works great as it has lock down straps in the suitcase plus I can carry cables, mics, ext. cords, clothes, and other goodies I also mounted a power strip on it. It took five minutes to cut the wood and I am carrying 6 pedals on it (ones a wah) and it's hella durable.

I use the Furman board but I ditched the power supply and got a Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2. The Furman power supply is cool if you need the built-in "patch bay" or a place to plug in wall warts. But it's also noisy as hell and adds way too much weight to the board.

Check out Stompin' Ground (http://www.stompin-ground.com/index.htm). They make awesome boards.

Also check out this site, www.rockonpedalboard.com (http://www.rockonpedalboard.com) . I have one and it fits my needs perfectly. I don't use many pedals, just 4 effects and a tuner, but it would hold a couple more. They have several sizes.

I use a Warwick "Rock case" pedlaboard. It looks like an aluminum briefcase. When you get to the gig, you just flip off the top, and everything is right there ready to go. I've had it for about 2 years. It has been very durable, and sturdy. it does not havea built in power supply if this is what you are looking for. I have the smallest size board, and it holds a wah VHT valvulator, and 4 other pedals with no problem.

Or raving about their new back problems: Pedal Pad's™ weight, when fully loaded, is balanced and carries like a 2-12 amplifier.

Aieee!

The rockon is looking pretty nice, I'm asking around locally to see if anybody's got or used one.
