Hi, everyone. This is my first post.
I have an '05 CU22 with Dragon II pickups. I like the output but I don't care for the tone, so I'd like to find a replacement pickup comparable in output. I don't see the specs listed anywhere on the internet, including the PRS website. Does anyone know what the magnet type, DC Resistance, and Resonant Peak are? Thanks.

Most Seymour Duncans should give you about the same amount of output. Otherwise I would look at possible the HFS and Vintage Bass from PRS.
Pickup tone sometimes is defined by its output though, so its really tricky to narrow it down.
You can also raise and lower a pickups output by changing the distance between the pickup and the strings. This will however change the tone too. For instance, I had a guitar with active EMGs, and I didnt like the ultra highs on it, and the ultra high output. So I moved the pick away from the strings significantly, giving me a warmer tone with less gain.

PRS has never published specs for any of their pickups.

Unless I'm mistaken, didn't the old PRS site have graphs showing the output of each of their pickups?

Ah yes, they did... Almost forgot about the Way Back Machine. Unfortunately, this may not be too helpful, as most of the graph graphics weren't archived...

Suggestion: Artist pickups. Smoother and cleaner with less breakup, and you won't bust a gut unless you want raunchy like your DII's. You might want to check with the PRS website for availability, http//:www.prsguitars.com/. But I'm not so inclined to make you want to buy this, just check it out. Others will help you if they see that you have looked around. (Words to the wise). ;)
