I'm thinking of getting some Gold Lace sensors for my strat, however I need to know 2 things:

1) How much noise do they have? are the silent or less noisey than normal single coils?

2) Are they designed for a specific position? (i.e bridge, can i swap them around easily? from what i've read on the lace website i got the impression it was a 'one pickup for all positions' type of deal.)

Thanks in advance.

Oh and while we're are on the topic, anyone ever seen/heard/know of any Lace Sensors in a PRS?

Lace's arent dead quiet like EMG's or stacked pickups, but they're close. Work in any position, I used to run Gold/Gold/Red in my strats about 10 years ago. Was pretty happy with that actually.

Never really dug the dual lace thing...at least not in Les Pauls or anything, but they werent bad in a superstrat.

My favorite application was a Clapton Strat with mid boost. Really good stuff.

Put a BLUE Lace Sensor in the neck position & you will never look back !!

Any position. The Jeff Beck Sig was 4 Gold Lace sensors (H/S/S) until the recent switch to the Fender Noiseless.
