resetting case locks?

Anyone know how to reset the combination on the artist style cases? I dont know what the heck the combination is, but whatever it is, I think it should be somethin else;)

If you don't know the combination you can't reset it. When it's set to the correct combination the way to change it is to hold the slide open, set the rotary dials to whatever number you want, and release. Default combination is 000 on new cases.

bummer. Well, thanks for the info! Thats good to know when I figure out what the heck the combo is. Theres only, what, 1000 possible combinations? hah. Someday I'll get someone else with a trick like this.

My Artist II case came locked - actually it came with the latch rivets popped, which is fairly easy to fix - so I paid my kids $10 each to sit there for as long as it took to figure out the combo(s). I had already eliminated the easy ones such as 000, 999, and 666. They started at 555 - one went up, the other went down. Took 5 minutes for son to get his side (650) open, but that didn't work on the other side. 10 minutes later my daughter hit her side. I repaired the latch rivets, still have that case and it works as good new.
