Hey guys!

Could someone tell me what I need to look out for when wiring new pickups into a CE-22? I am ordering a Wolfetone TimbreWolf for the bridge of my CE-22 and most likely, eventually the mathcing neck.

If it is too hard to do, I may just convert the rotary to the toggel since it is easier live.

Now, correct me if I am wrong. Won't I lose the noise cancelling that is now in place in stock form? Something about flipping magnets?

Not a big deal because my McCarty sounds great split and it still has the slight noise or hum. This isn't a huge deal when playing with the band.

Thanks!

Due to the 5-way switch, the magnet in the bridge pup is in opposite polarity of "standard" pups. To use the 5-way rotary switch you'll need to fip the magnet. It's probably easier to install a 3-way switch and a splitter.

You'll find more info http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/faqdescr.shtml#prs5way. You'll also find more info under the wiring diagrams here: http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/schematics/prs_mod1.html (note, this is for 2 SD humbuckers. PRS colour schematics are not the same as SD).

Thanks! I personally find the three way switch easier to use but you lose the noise cancelling effect of the 5 way rotary.:(

I agree with you. But there's another way (but not with your guitar :(): StewMac has a five way blade (strat) switch for PRS-wiring with "regular" pups called the Megaswitch P-model http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Electronics,_pickups/Components:_Switches_and_knobs/2/Megaswitches.html

Just installed it last night in a tele-style guitar. Works beautifully.
