I have a set of RP's inbound for my CE-22. The DragonII's on the CE have had their covers removed and I like the look of the exposed bobbins, so I'm thinking about removing the covers from the RP's also. I got the CE with the covers removed already, so I'm not sure what to expect when attempting to remove the covers. Firstly, does anyone know the colour of the bobbins used in RP pups? I know the slugs are gold. Secondly, what advice can anyone offer to make removal of the covers as painless as possible? It would be great to not damage the covers incase I ever want to reverse the process.
Thanks in advance.
This is what the CE-22 looks like at the moment:

Use some Desoldering Braid to suck up the solder and they should pop right off. BTW, wanna sell the covers fromthe RP's? :)

Thanks Scott. If they prove to be keepers in the CE, I'll send them along. First things first though...have to get them here and see what's under those covers and how they sound in the CE. I love them in my ME, but there's no telling how they will react in the CE. Anyone got any idea what colour bobbins are used in the RP's?

Thanks Hans. Got mine from fellow BaMmer AtomicMassUnit for 125 as-new. A friend in the UK said he'd really like them so he took them instead, but as it happens he didn't dig them that much for his application, so they're coming here anyway.
