Does anyone remember what they sold for? The last time they were on Ebay???
And how many were there? Were they all CE's?

If I remember correctly, it was in the $2k range. I remember definitely seeing 3, all of which where CE's. Z had 2 of 'em.

GlennIf you are referring to the Mystic paint that changes color depending on how you view it (not sparkle or holoflake), the story I heard is that there were 4. PRS was given a quart of the paint to try by a sales rep hoping for a sale (the stuff is $2000 a gallon). At least one was a Standard 22 that was an artist relations guitar, two were CE's, not sure of the 4th. The last one I saw for sale was the Standard 22, it had a number of major dings from being on tour, don't recall what it went for. The most prominent user of the paint was Ford, who released the SVT Mystic Cobra in 1994. Problem was that the paint was so expensive, insurance companies had to demand a premium for comprehensive covereage and the rates scared alot of buyers away. You'll see them in another 16 years selling for 6 figures on Barrett-Jackson.

Mystic was supplied by BASF and not available to the public. The Dupont colors came later. Mystic also was not used on the Prs guitars, although a very similar BASF color was. (Caribbean Night Mist)
Those paints are now in the 3-4k a gallon price.
Also, Mystic was only used on 2000 1996' Saleen Cobra Mustangs.
Sorry for the useless info, I'm in the auto paint business and have supplied Mystic on more than a few occasions. To get the paint, the actual damaged car has to be inspected by a paint rep and he allocates how much Mystic the shop can buy to do the repair.

Looks about half way down for the 2005 CE. Unfortunately, Tommy passed away on Dec 31st (I am still saddened EVERY time I think about that). I have no idea who you would contact if you are interested in the guitar.

Hi Glenn,
Oh god, I thought most people had heard by now. Sorry to drop such heavy news on yah.
He unfortunately had a heart attack on New Years Eve. I know before he moved away from Ft. Lauderdale, he'd been sick a lot, but I had heard he was doing much better since he moved out of the area. It came as a shock to a LOT of people around here.
Tommy was definitely a great one, and will be missed.
