Picked one of these up used from the Gear Page. It's the Boss Drive Station, emulating 22 different pedals (6 Boss, 6 original sounds and 10 classic - Fuzz Face, Klon, Dist+, Guv'nor...)

All in all, a pretty good pedal. I'm running it through my Soldano, mostly to push and change my crunch channel.

TONE REPORT:
I wanted to know how closely they had modeled. The only pedal in the OD-20 that I actually own is the BD-2 Blues Driver. So I dialled up the OD-20 to the settings I use on the Blues Driver and A/B'd.

Surprisingly, they were the same. If not the same, VERY close. VERY.

I was impressed.

Now, I'm sure the Klon on here doesn't sound or push exactly like a Klon. Honestly, if I wanted a Klon, I'd have bought one. I was looking for a variety of options, a Swiss Army knife pedal. I still have the BD-2 in line as a basic push.

But I like the OD-20, especially that it doesn't seem to suffer as much form the processed sound that my Line 6 distortion modeler did. I'm able to get some great crunch sounds so that I have a palette, a good lead sound (for when the lessons pay off) and it has a neat octave function that adds an octave below in the lower registers and leaves the upper registered uncolored. The octave is controlled by a knob, so that you don't have to waste one of the 4 memory locations on a little used sound. Want the octave? reach down and turn the knob.

It also has an amp control function that will let me program an amp channel change into the patch, so that when I hit the OD-20 and I'm on a the Soldano's clean, it'll kick inthe effect AND the crunch. It would be beaucoup cool if I could get it to work. I've got an email to Soldano right now.

Plus, Guitar Player gave it an editors pick last month.

It's worth checking out, esp if you can get one used. I only paid $125 shipped.

I've been curious about that pedal, especially wondering how closely it mimics the boss pedals it models. I've noticed that I rely on only one or two distortion sounds in the line 6 pedal I have, and I'd thought of adding a boss pedal or two to the arsenal for different colors, maybe this is the way to go. Thanks for the report.

Thanks for the report. If nothing else, if you can pick one up used - it's a good primer for what kind of sounds you like. It allows you to experiment with 20 different sounds without spending 3 grand.
