Problem With Compressor

My T.C. Electronic compressor is doing what it's made to do, but theres a VERY loud hum when I have it on espescially when on the dirty channel. Anyone know how to get rid of this hum? :confused:

Are you using it with an AC adaptor? if so, try a battery. If the loud hum goes off, then you need a good power adaptor like a pedal power.:)It's a rack unit so I have it plugged into a surge protector. I'll fool around with it when I get home today.
