My old chromatic tuner bit the dust this weekend so I am looking for a replacement. I've heard good things about the Korg tuners so I'm looking at the DT-7, GT-12 or the basic GT-3. Any thoughts or suggestions? Also... what the heck is "Buzz Feiten Tuning"?

Buzz Feiten is a tuning system based on an offset nut and tuning offsets between the open note and the 12th fret fretted note.
If you don't have a Feiten'ized guitar; don't sweat it.
If you want the best tuner going, look at the Peterson Strobostomp. Accurate to 1/10 of 1 per cent and easy to see in bright sunlight and dark stages. Brilliant.
If you want a DT-7, I'll sell you mine very cheap, I don't use it anymore. Nice tuner too.

I picked up a Strobo-Stomp and will back Scott's post. Killer tuner...my guitars never sounded so in tune *all of the time*.
Little $$$ though.
I also have a Boss TU-2 and TU-70 they work well and of the two I prefer the TU-2.
I have a BOSS TU-2 and I love it, it's flexible and very easy to use. The display is great too, bright and easy to read.
Good luck!

Speaking of Boss tuners... I have been using a TU12 on my pedal board for close to 15 years now... same tuner! She's always been good to me!
Peace,

I've got a Boss TU-12 and a TU-2. Where the TU-2 is handy as it's a stomp box and you can get an instant mute with it, I prefer the TU-12. It's a lot more accurate than the TU-2. The analog needle on the TU-12 makes for a much better tuning than the led lights on the TU-2 too.
Of course, if you want to spend $$$'s, then go with the Petersen (as recommended by PetersOn ;) )

TU-2 for the pedalboard, a Petersen for the shop :)

I have a Petersen VT-2 strobe tuner.
They have a proprietary tuning that's just for guitars.
I like the idea of a special guitar tuning very much but I'd be lying if I said I could hear the difference between it and standard tuning. Nevertheless, a guitar tuned with the VT-2 sounds quite nice.

--chiba So Wes, we have more in common than the Custom Soapbar! This is my exact setup, my Peterson is a VS-1.
