Hey All,

I just picked one of these up and had to share it with you! It's the new Lian-Li PC/V1000 http://www.lian-li.com/products/pcv1000.htm

I've always built my own PCs including for DAW use. One of the problems that always exists is the ambient noise produced by fans. I had been using the wonderfully constructed Cooler Master ATCS 201 for the last 3 years and decided it was time for it to be retired. the 5 80mm fans started getting to me, even though they were high quality/Ultra quiet "Sanyo Denkis."

This case takes a great step in cutting down noise without doing water cooling etc...Notice the component placement, fans, and internal "walls" (and the obvious look of the MAC G5)...This case is *Much* quieter. I went for the black version rather than the brushed aluminum. My CoolMaster was Aluminum and I needed a change. ;)

The overall build quality is a little shy of the CoolerMaster. But the CM was made out of 2mm machined billet aluminum with heat pressed ferrels, and that's a little hard to top. But the overall design on the Lian-Li is *much* better. The HDD's are isolated (via an aluminum wall) on the bottom with 1 120mm fan blowing on it, the case has 1 120mm fan in the rear with a cowling over it on the exterior to dampen noise. Overall I'm pleased as punch with this thing!

This is great I've been really fed up with my PC of late, it sounds like a diesel powered bus!!

I wonder if you can get these in the UK..?

Thanks Phil!

Cool case Phil! I'll probably pick one of these up when I build my gaming PC later this month.

I'm an Apple geek, I love to share my computer porn!

There is also the Zalman TNN 500A. This is an interesting solution.
