My Charcoal ME is leaving for a new home tomorrow - hope you enjoy her Joe! I needed to free up some cash but also managed to score an exceptional deal way below an already listed discount sale price on this little beauty!

Yep the ME was a beaut and the Braz neck made it the finest playing guitar I've ever encountered but I am to be absolutely honest I just couldn't bond 100% with the tone.

Hence the Artist Pick-ups in my ME. I can't thank Jack Gretz enough for the recommendation. What's that? You want to see a pic? Well, ... OK!

Waaay cool guitar Gazza. And, yeah, great photo work by the shop too. SCTs have been tickling my GAS pump every since they were introduced. Blue and gold is just all the more sweeter. Congrats.

Congrats! :dude:Dan - been admiring your Blue quilt SCT AP some a long while now and your enthusiasm for the tone and flexibility of the SCT helped push me along with this one.

Bear in mind I haven't had chance to play this yet - I'm sure I won't be disappointed. I'm gonna stick with the stock pups though for a while - you're not too keen on the bridge 6 are you? Why? and in what context did you find it lacking, ie, clean, dirty?

You got any close up pics of yours for us to admire?

Sorry!

I wasn't planning on getting the AP blue quilt as they have a couple of non-AP SCT's at a much lower price and I was intending to pocket a lot more cash from the sale of the ME but after checking if the dealer had access to any other SCT's from the UK distributor they offered the blue quilt AP at an irrisistable price.

The non-AP SCT's listed are fine guitars, especially the grey/black one, and if it had birds in place of dots I may well have taken that instead but you know how it is...the AP adds nothing to the tone but it'll sure bring a smug grin to my face when I see it hanging on the wall.

You will be ;)

If you don't mind, can you email me how much you got it for? I'm curious... got mine at a reduced sale price too, albeit from Guitars4You...

So now I count 4 to the SCT-AP-WB clan... :D

Oh sure! Blame me for everything! ;)

Opinions on the #6 pickups run the whole gamut. I think the number 6 are really nice, well balancesd pickups. But the bridge pickup lacked punch, maybe presence (?), in my opinion. That's the reason I tried a Duncan Custom 5 in its place and ended up loving it.

Give the stock pups a chance, that's a good idea. Make your own mind about them. Worst case, you can chancge them.

I really like that special edition that world guitars has on there site the PRS with the natural backs and hybrid hardware. Seems a bit pricy though, looks like with the conversion rate it would be the same as buying a modern eagle.

That's an amazing looking guitar, I'm not normally a huge fan of single cut PRS's but that one I would have snatched up in a minute if I could.

If you're including me in that count, I must disclose that mine is not an AP. Just SCT-WB 10-top quilt.
