Well a bunch of us who hang out on a beginner site have been messing around with web cams as of late and I threw a short clip of myself with a backing track up on my webspace for them. I figured why not post it here too...keep in mind I am pretty much a beginner so dont expect some fantastic playing or anything like that, just kind of felt obligated to post it here since its my main hangout...even though you'd never know it by my post count..:-D This was my very first time ever playing standing up and I didnt realize I was swaying back and forth until I saw the video..LOL Also, ignore the credits I threw in tehre as they pertain to the guys on the other board...:D

Finally, I get to see what the hell you look like! :)
That's pretty cool stuff - I was amazed by the quality. And the tone was pretty nice and creamy. Oh and I love the swaying. Do you sway faster when you play heavier stuff? I'd love to see that ;)
Was that the GT6 or the Nomad?

This goes to show that the Single Cut is nothing like the Les Paul, 'cos if you were playing a Les Paul it would be at least 18 inches lower.:D
Nice clip.
I think you might just start something here.
Nothing like seeing what everybody looks like.
Very cool.:dude:

That was the GT 6 plugged into the spdif port on my soundblaster via the digital out with a backing track going on my PC. Its the easiest setup for me to practice to at the house since I can quick toss my headphones on for my pc and no noise goes through the house. You can see my loft there Dan...so no walls, lots of noise everywhere when I got your Nomad going (thats not a bad thing when the wife and kids are out:dude: ).
As far as this catching on...it has become the standard on the other forum I hang out at. Everyday another member goes out and buys a webcam to start posting video's. My webcam is a pretty old one I had sitting around from back inthe day when video teleconferencing was getting big and I used Movie maker (its free, part of windows XP) to do all the recording and adding the credits and all that. So that whole setup to do the video, minus the guitar equipment, is a grand total of about 50 bucks..LOL...pretty cool deal I think. My friend that lives down the streeet actually started posting lessons on how to play simple songs...really cool stuff. Check him out at www.caberocks.net (http://www.caberocks.net/)
