Please provide me with a practice regimine that will turn me from guitar-poseur to a Shredding GOD. Assume 1.5 to 2 hours of practice time every day. Detailed time allocations and exercises would be greatly appreciated!

Go buy John Petrucci's Rock Discipline DVD. It is chocked full of exercises that will fill the bill you are looking for.

+1 ... It's basically the yellow-brick road to Shred. Just stick to it and practice like hell and you're on your way.

Just watch out for the flying monkeys ... :D

One additional approach I will mention - and it is somewhat controvertial advice:

Play fast.

Yeah, yeah, I know, work with the metronome, get it slow and exact, yadda yadda. I agree do that. But also, every once in a while...
Close the door, plug in, put on some backing tracks, and play as fast as you can. Just tear it up. you will find technical solutions that will work for you for playing some things real fast. Plus it's fun. And it won't hurt you.

"I wanna go fast"

Ricky Bobby

Time to get out of my trance, and really practise. The DVD sounds like a good place to start.
