Yes, its true... I used to play Irish folks music! I went through a phase about 4 years ago where I started to get back into it again, and did a few recordings... Here are three of them. The rest are unifnished, so I wont include them here.

While Irish folk does not highlight guitars at all, nor was a PRS harmed in the making of these recordings, I thought I would share for something a little different.

I am 90% done recording a funk tune I have written, and will get that up as soon as I am done. That one DOES have 2 PRSi in it, so stand by!

Ballad of Willian Bloat (http://www.furballfactory.com/anightstar/media/william_bloat.mp3): My all time favorite Irish tune. And no one else seems to know this song but me, so that's pretty cool! :D

The Scotsman (http://www.furballfactory.com/anightstar/media/the_scotsman.mp3): A standard. We all know this one. And we all wish WE'd get a blue ribbon!

The Wild Rover (http://www.furballfactory.com/anightstar/media/wild_rover.mp3): Ok, settle down boys. It's time to stop being such vagabonds!

Peace,
Aldwyn

Great stuff.

My Dad plays that kind stuff, then he goes and spoils it all with his Streets of London party piece.

Great stuff Aldwyn. You should come over here and play a few of the places I jam at. You will especially go down well at Yardly Gobion. The chap who runs the jam is Irish and plays this stuff all night.

Amazing that your voice doesn't sound American. No 'Cool dudes' or 'Pass me that killer axe, so I can play some chops' present.

Really liked William Bloat.

Thanks JR! The Irish folk guys in this area back in the 90s used to do their best to sound like they came from "home". Some (not I) would even speak with an Irish accent when talking to the crowd. I never perfected mine enough to do that, though honestly didnt try very hard. :)

But I did, indeed, do my best to sound Irish when singing the tunes. Then again, I am third generation Irish, so I guess I should say I did my best to sound like I was born and raised in the green fields of Eire!

Peace,
Aldwyn
