I've just got a couple of tunes put up on soundclick so I can get them on here.
I thought as I was passing a listerning ear over other peoples work then it was only fair that I put up some stuff of my own.

I have to say that I am not a recording buff by any means, these tunes are taken from tapes that have been hanging around for years. I have done my best to convert them to mp3 and upload them to the site but my limited knowledge of this sort of technology means that they are far from top quality. They start off too quiet but get louder after abit so please bear with it.

The age of the tapes doesn't help but I am in the process of tracking down better copies of a lot of stuff I have.

The two tracks I have up at the moment where recorded back in '92/'93. "Keeper" was a song I wrote for my then band "Basic Face Removal", a four piece band with the drummer doing the vocals. "18 Hours" was recorded on an old 4 track cassette recorder with a mk1 Dr Rhythm but as it was intended as a guide for the band as to how the song went there are no vocals.

These tunes have, as with all my music been writen and recorded for me and my bands own enjoyment.

Find them both at www.soundclick.com/bands/6/andydixsonmusic.htm (http://www.soundclick.com/bands/6/andydixsonmusic.htm)

I tried listening to this yesterday afternoon but it wasn't working - it is now.

Nice, dude. Your band is (was?) really tight! I could tell even though the tape sounded old that you have awesome lead tone. Oh yeah, and the song was pretty kickin too. I especailly liked the 2 part breakdown in the bridge right before the solo.

I basically liked that stuff for the same reasons I still listen to Countdown to Extinction. :dude:

I like the Live track shows what a good tight band you are and it is a great guitar tone for live.

it is a great guitar tone for live.
Both guitars are running through Line 6 Flextone II XLs.
