Hi guys....
Just ordered a Gretsch G6120W from Guitargalleria (Rugers is the guy doing the deal; he treated me nicely and gave me a great price). I have 48 hrs to check the guitar out...I'll let you all know next week how it goes. The clincher on doing the initial deal was the kinda unique accessories on this beauty. For a pic, check out http://www.guitargalleria.net/181395.html This is the first new Gretsch Nashville Western package I've seen with filtertrons. All the others are the DSW variety..DeArmonds.
Hope it works out!

I love Gretsch guitars! That's a beauty, jato. Dig the branded "G"
Check out Setzer's Sun tribute from last year. Duke Robillard new album also features some dandy Gretsch riffing. Great swing/blues guitars, too!

Yeah,

those Rev HH's are cool...I got a little better price on mine...although it is a pre-Fender Gretsch.

Love the Mona Lisa & Get Rhythm

get rhythm is really cool. johnny cash covers can be a disaster. i like that he makes it his own.
the whole album is a nice mix of fairly obvious tunes mixed in w/ some of the more obscure stuff as well.
he's really only scraping the surface too. vol. II could be equally as good. is it me, or does setzer just keep on getting better and better?

I think he can go as deep as he wants and hope he one day taps into the Chet Atkins songbook for a full album of instrumentals. Once he shakes the dress up stage and finally gets to bang Ann Margaret I surmise he will.

Yes jato - a big congratulations is in order here! Fender's done a good job ressurecting this company, and that model's got to be the quintessential Gretsch guitar.

I got one of those Electromatic hollowbodies w/DeArmonds, and was so impressed I had to turn around and order one from the pro series. I went w/the bamboo annie 'cause she's one of the cheaper high-end models & comes w/TV Jones classics.

Haven't picked up the tele for quite a while..

And a Bigsby's so much more fun than a strat trem...

Enjoy!

Welcome to the club!

I joined last year with my 6120DSW and it's my favorite guitar to play. Certainly not the most versitle guitar but it gets 'That Great Gretsch Sound' and I love the Bigsby!

Enjoy!
