Since I was not smart enough to write down the information that was presented to me from TGP before meltdown, I was wondering if I could get some help from the guys that helped me figure out how to wire my guitar. The original question pertained to a gibson style 3 way switch that Stew Mac makes. It is a ON/ON/ON switch. I have a 3 pickup stylle guitar that I am wanting to wire so I can have the bridge, middle and neck pickups run sperately from the switch. Someone replied with how I could wire this switch and laid out exactly which lugs needed to be soldered to the pickups and other connections. I will post a link to the switch and if anyone can tell me exactly how to wire, I can finally finish my project. I really appreciate the info.
Thanks

Argggh. Okay. Second try, here we go:
1. Connect the HOT output of the bridge pickup to lug #1.
2. Connect lug #2 to lug #4.
3. Connect the HOT output of the middle pickup to lug #3.
4. Connect lug #5 to your Volume pot.
5. Connect the HOT output of the neck pickup to lug #6.
6. Connect the remaining wire of all three pickups to ground.
If you have the standard Strat-style 2-tone configuration, one would connect to lug #3 (middle pickup) and the other would connect to lug #6 (neck pickup).
Hope this helps.

It is just a 1 vol and 1 tone set up.
Thanks

In that case connect the tone to the volume pot. Basically, the output from the switch lug #5 goes to the leftmost lug on the volume pot (looking at the rear of the pot with the lugs facing down); this lug is connected to the center lug of your tone pot using a .02 - .05 capacitor (to your taste); the rightmost lug of the tone pot gets soldered to the case (ground) and the leftmost is not connected. The rightmost lug of the volume pot is also soldered to the case (ground) and the center lug of the volume pot is connected to the tip side of the output jack; ground the remaining lug of the output jack to either of the pots.

As an alternative, you can wire the leftmost volume pot lug directly to the center tone pot lug and then use the capacitor to connect the rightmost tone pot lug to the tone pot case; this works well when you have caps with short leads.
