Just picked up these Bogen "Made in Germany" 12AX7's. They have a halo getter wire with two supports on one side of tube. Thoughts?Seimens? Thanks Bob.http://tinypic.com/wwnkpl.jpg

Possibly. are there cross/hatched tops on each one? How about anything underneath, like a diamond in the center?
any codes etched or silkscreened on the sides?
With rebrands it could be from a number of mfg's.

No diamond on the bottom like a tele. The top has four distinct seams on the top though. Etch code on the side reads I61 #18 Also as stated before the halo getter is supported by 2 posts on one side of the tube. I just tried one and its very warm and midrange fat sounding. I like em what ever they are!

I61 _____ sounds like Mullards to me. And that's always a good thing. By the plates they look slike wither Amperex Mullard or ribbed plate Teles, bu the I61*** usually means Mullard IMHO.
Is there a "Made In Gt Britain" or "Gt Britain" anywhere on those? This would surely seal the deal, but even without that, the I61, & the plates, & cross seams on top should be the ticket. Nevermind, I see the Made in Germany. Hmm.
disclaimer- if the script says Made in Great Britain (in long form), these would be Japanese fakes, IIRC...but I don't think I've ever seen Matsushitas re-branded as Bogens.
I'm not exactly a tube 'guru', so if anybody else can help please chime in.
